I've got a 2017 Accord that's been running perfectly until recently when I started noticing this weird vibration and low rumbling sound whenever I'm idling at a stoplight, and it's gotten to the point where I can actually feel it through the floorboards which is pretty concerning. I took a peek underneath and it looks like there's some rust forming around where the pipe connects to the muffler, but I'm not sure if it's actually leaking or if it's just surface corrosion that looks worse than it really is. I'd like to take it to a place that actually knows what they're doing and won't try to sell me a whole new system when maybe I just need a small section patched or a gasket replaced. I live in the Al Wasl area and I've driven past a few garages but I have no idea which ones are trustworthy and do genuine exhaust system service in Al Wasl versus the ones that just want to take your money and do a half-hearted job. I'd really appreciate any suggestions from people who've had exhaust work done around here, especially if you felt the shop was transparent about what needed fixing and didn't try to upsell you on unnecessary stuff. Also I'm curious what the typical turnaround time is for something like this because I use my car daily for work and I can't really be without it for multiple days if it's just a simple repair. If I end up needing a replacement part, should I be looking for OEM components or are aftermarket ones just as good for an older car that I'm planning to keep for another couple of years? Any advice would be awesome because I'm not super mechanically inclined and I don't want to go into a shop completely blind and get taken advantage of.
